You know how when there's nothing outright scary about a thriller movie you just have no idea what's going on and your muscles go tense and your heart speeds up because you just feel this sense of dread and fear but you can't outright be scared because nothing is there yet it's just that knowledge that something feels wrong and something is going to happen but you can't even guard against it because you don't even know what it is that's unnerving you so awfully?

So Serenity hitching a ride with Roxy now makes sense. Other than that one bombshell, update confirms what we already knew I suppose about Caliborn being LE and busting up shit to find Calliope.
The creepy feeling has eased off into confusion.
Was Serenity always Calliope due to some sort of time shenanigans? Did Serenity get body snatched by Calliope's wandering soul?

It's possible that Calliope isn't Serenity, per se, but has taken the form of Serenity in Roxy dream since dream ghosts have the ability to take the form of another from Aranea's Vriska-trick in her log with Terezi. And what better form is a small, discreet firefly that can communicate in morse-code and is familiar with a Hero of Void? :)

So the actual Serenity riding off on Roxy's head was a complete coincidence with no meaning? WV saw her leave and was saddened, so it wasn't like she was a figment of Rox's imagination in that instance.
If by chance this isn't the real Serenity and a form Calliope chose to take, I have to think there's more of a reason then "fireflies are small". I guess she could be just a dream figment but I'm going back to that time where Serenity hitched a ride on Roxy and Roxy specifically. It never really made sense to me why she just up and left WV like that until now.
They coulda been in cahoots I guess? There are a lot of possible scenarios going on here I guess.

She also went to Roxy because Roxy is her closest friend (not that the two are mutually exclusive). I'm not saying I didn't understand why Serenity went with Roxy, I'm just saying it only really makes sense if Calliope was indeed Serenity at least at that point in time.

That's really clever trick how "shhhhh" in Morse Code without spaces is simply 23 dots. I should've figured something was up, since cherubs are all about the elevens. All this time, while Roxy was yapping away and talking to herself Caliope was simply telling her to shut up.
