Our Neighbors
Took a look at the general happenings at booru.org.

Not too much of a surprize in at least four NSFW counterparts to us having sprung up (incidentally all of them have their tagging in an abysmal state :b) — but what I was not expecting is a dirkjake.booru.org! They're going pretty strong at ~4200 posts. (For comparision, at the moment we have 1221 Dirk solo pics, 921 Jake solo pics, and 888 Dirk/Jake pics.)

Also Kanayabooru has broken 10K posts by now. Congrats I guess.

Further down the list there's also hscosplay.booru.org — it's been there a while actually, might be worth checking if they have much material we don't have. Plus a fledgling Nepetabooru with not even 330 posts yet…

Do they source? (Excluding Kanayabooru, lol Brando sourcing also excluding nsfwboorus for obvious reasons) It'd be nice if they sourced their posts, would make syphoni- I mean kindly borrowing their resources! much easier.

(I've been stealing whatever GIS can help me source from Kanayabooru for a while now, it makes me feel good for various reasons)

I'm checking our stats on the Booru.org page and it turns out we have 239 members signed up(don't know if many of the are dupe accounts, but that's still great), and for some reason 4,145 images are listed in the image column. Anyone know the reason for that since we actually have waaaaay more images than that.

EDIT: To Pie, browsing around the DirkJakebooru, they do mention the artist name if applicable, but it seems to be pretty spotty in term of links to the artist's site wheneve an anon uploads an image to that booru.

EDIT 2: Okay browsing a bit more on that site, the lack of direct link sourcing is pretty problematic.

^I think it's more likely that the biggest portion of the ones we don't see are people who signed up, then never used their accounts. That's what usually happens.

Plus a fledgling Nepetabooru with not even 330 posts yet…

Careful where you say that or the hater might decide to take it as a full-time job opportunity.

That's the old MSPABooru 1.0. I dunno the current full numbers but I'd guess something around 1200-1500? Our "Everyone's Favorites" section alone lists 316 members
http://mspabooru.com/index.php?page=favorites&s=list
and judging by 53 for 1.0, it seems about 20% of users have > 0 favorites. Comparing with the next bigger one listed on the main site, furry.booru.org, yields similar result: that one has 4500 members & 300K posts.

— Hscosplay.booru does not seem to do sourcing, which is a shame.

Also also, nswfhomestuck.booru actually seems to have plenty of art that's safe, maybe questionable at worst. Pretty much all of it completely unsourced, though.

I'm assuming haters don't bother reading forums.
