It is a really really good album! I am not /quite/ finished with it yet but I am close and I don't think there's a single bad track. It's about time the cherubim got some musical attention.

I don't think its fair to just call the last track the best one. I mean, that song rules, but there's a lot of REALLY quality material on this album, IMO. I really like Carne Vale and Constant Conquest.

Now now, just because I think one track is the best does not mean I think the other songs are mediocre-to-crap. I also like Carne Vale, The Lordling, and Reverie. Actually I like the album over all and well most likely purchase it.

Eh? I though it was a reference to a character named Shylock who was from one of Shakespeare's plays. The character was a loan shark who demanded a pound of flesh to another character who kept missing their payments. Caliborn's line demanding a pound of smut, and the fact that he bit through a pound of flesh relates to this.

I highly doubt the artist who originally titled it as Eternity's Shylock intended it to mean "dirty jews".

Yeah well IDK some Jewish person got really upset about it back when that song first showed up in a Flash. To make matters worse, that flash coincidentally happened to be uploaded on some Jewish holiday.

I mean, I guess do what you want, but I think it's better to err on the side of not hurting people needlessly. Especially when it's just the name of the song and otherwise not very important. Even if the intent wasn't bad, if someone says that you're doing something wrong and you didn't intend to, the proper response is to stop anyway, not go "but I didn't mean anything by it."

I mean I don't know if anyone actually is like "you dirty shylock" or anything, but yknow. Still.

Don't you think you should be able to articulate the controversy a little better (i.e. explain it in terms other than "some Jewish person" and "some Jewish holiday") before taking the moral high ground?
