Is there anyway to retreive the highest resolution of an image in DA if...
...the usual download button is missing?

A while ago, I've mention how to get the highest possible resolution of an image on tumblr in this post #73226. However, I'm trying to dump this certain artist(kiki-kit) and if you notice on their gallery: http://kiki-kit.deviantart.com/gallery/ they have uploaded the highest resolution of their images, but there is no download button available for any of them. And no, clicking on the images won't help as it we give you a larger image, but not the true resolution of it.

I could go to the artist tumblr for the true resolution, however I get transparency errors on some of the transparent images that are not present in the ones uploaded on DA.

Can anyone help me? Any tricks that I'm missing?

Try enlarging the images and going Open in New Tab, because sometimes the then-open-in-new-tab image has higher resolution than on the page, unless you've already tried that?

And maybe, if all else fails, try combing through the source coding and open up the image URL, see if you can find the one with the highest resolution?

That was one of the first things I've tried and it didn't work.

Coming through it right now and I can't find any highest res images there. Am I missing something? I don't get why do some artists go through the trouble to upload the highest res images there, but don't provide a download link for anybody to view them? 0_0

It's a possibility they didn't upload the full size pictures on the devart?

This is an issue I haven't had a good answer to, too.

The details on their images says otherwise. ex: http://kiki-kit.deviantart.com/art/Witch-of-Space-362797537

As mentioned before I can get the full true resolution of images on their tumblr, but the images have transparency issue where you get glitched-out backgrounds as seen in this very same(but larger) Jade image on their tumblr. http://kiki-kit.tumblr.com/post/...s-what-ive-been-reading-i

I guess I'll have to settle on uploading the best quality image between their two sites, even if it isn't the largest resolution.

Okay, so I poke and prodded and fussed and fumed. And I still haven't gotten anywhere. The only thing I could think of is to try to understand the url code of the damn thing, but even that is a fruitless endeavor.

So for example:

http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/..._by_xxischaxx-d3hytws.png

has the url when you choose to download it

http://www.deviantart.com/downlo...e0bad4e&ts=1370713736

which gets converted into

http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/..._by_xxischaxx-d3hytws.png

This makes me see that there are three letters that gets changed -- the fc0#, and the two digits right before the title (/0/2/) and (/1/f/)

So, if you could figure that out, you'd be able to input the correct three digits to find the url... the problem is that if those three digits are randomized, that would make 2,600 duds to go through to find the right one. Unless there is a pattern in which case

http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/...__by_kiki_kit-d6000dd.png

Will become

http://fc0#.deviantart.net/fs71/...__by_kiki_kit-d6000dd.png

Yeah, it might be randomized and this just doesn't seem worth it. Going to go with the original game plan as seen in my previous post.

Thanks for the help anyway.
