dawg i'm pretty sure the rings of life and void are the same ring

considering aranea trotted out the whole "one ring appears when the other ring is lost"/"they're never seen in the same room together" line

I agree with anon. Either the ring of void is a fickle beast that occasionally exhibits lifey properties, or it simply has a different effect on ghosts than it does on living, flesh-and-blood people.

Was the Ring of Life the one Tavros had when he met John? Can the Ring of Life transcend the barrier of the living world and the dream bubbles with characters who are NOT the author? Are the properties a one-time use? Does it auto-activate when worn on any character dead or alive? Certainly the Ring of Void is able to, but did THAT ring really fall into the infinite Void, never to be seen, or did it land in John's palm as the ship was passing between windows? So many goddamn questions and I'm probably again overlooking/over-thinking a few things...

Presumably the Ring of Life is in John's hand right now since it was said to have originated in a desert and passed hands from there.

The last we saw of the Ring of Void was Trickster Roxy's proposal to Dirk, and was presumably lost sometime during the Trickster shenanigans into the Void. There's the point where you could conceivably link the two rings as one, where the Void ring enters the Furthest Ring and enters the ghost's sphere.

All I can say when the ring of life was brought up is:

1) totally knew hussie wouldnt let Vriska stay dead
2) totally glad there is now a chance she'll maybe end up with the more badass older-john instead of TAVROS (because seriously, i dislike tavros, if he ends up with anyone it may as well be gamzee, pb&j was kinda cute)
3) Scourge Sisters would totally be back, and the Condesce would be fucked.
