I love the spirals/figure eights, but it looks like the red cord is penetrating Terezi's head. Not sure if that was the best composition choice.

The red that looks like it's going through her head seems to be a representation of her blindness (to me anyways). Because it continues up into what, other than a weapon, looks like her walking cane.
