something i’ve been thinking about recently - based on john’s highly improved skills fighting jack noir for the second time during the ongoing journey of the s.s. moody teens, i developed this headcanon that jade and john trained with each other to refine their powers during the trip, and to blow off steam when either of them felt frustrated or antsy. hence john was able to use his abilities to anticipate and counter the moves of an aggressor with space powers!
