Where did this fanon perception that the final battle was going to be anything less then a collaborative effort?
Quite honestly I will be disappointed as fuck if the final battle is had only between one or two characters.

I mean ok obviously yeah the Dave vs LE thing was all but sledgehammered over our heads for pages on end, but yeah. I will be severely disappointed if the final battle isn't a collaborative effort. This soloing LE stuff is incredibly meh.

If anyone's destined to solo LE, I would think it would be <i>Calliope</i>. I mean, she has the single greatest motivation to want to pound him into the ground.
I really would just like her to kick him in the globes at some point.

They could be prototyped any number of times, before or after entering The Medium.
Doing so before entering is a Bad Idea because it makes the enemies stronger.
