Blackrom seems to be more "getting off from abuse" than anything really, only passable by the fact that it's an acceptable form of love from a rather violent, messed-up society. At least that's what I get of it.

The excerpts we were given of Vriska and Eridan's, and later Mindfang and Dualscar's, blackrom relationships seemed to point more toward it being an eroticized rivalry than anything, at least to me.

Yeah I really am not seeing healthy blackrom as abuse, as I'm sure was mentioned before on the site, blackrom really just seems to be someone who pisses you off (and you them, forming yes a type of rivalry or at least symbiotic relationship of upsetness) so grandly that it becomes erotic and attractive. You're drawn to them and enjoy them because you hate them so passionately perfectly. Therefore it makes no sense to damage them in any way permanently physically or mentally as this would ruin the symbiotic kismesis relationship.

^^So what do you guys call Snowman's and Slick's relationship? Abusive or healthy? Remember, prior to SS being forced to kill off Snowman, there were some physical abuse involved by Snowman.

We could speculate that perhaps they had some slight vacillation between black romance and just pure platonic "I do in fact want to stab you in the eyeball" hate occasionally I suppose.
