Just before going to bed I opened my sketchbook and found this.
Well I obviously touched it up w/ photoshop later, but here’s the story behind it.

The last time I was told fanart was not art, the last time my creativity and abilities were downplayed, I doodled this on the last page of my sketchbook.
It is hastily made, with barely any sense of composition, but I hope the emotion will compensate and carry out the message I wrote down for myself to remember whenever I doubt myself.

And since it always strikes something in me whenever I see it, I thought I would open up and share this very personal thing.

Because I and you and everybody who does fanworks are creative for they bring pixels and words and thoughts to life. And no matter what, we always weave a piece of us in our works. We are not copycats or unimaginative folks.
We are creators.
