Ignoring Anon up there, it's important to keep in mind these people are 16. They're all going through that stage in their life where they're bound to be melodramatic morons where the world revolves around themselves.

Jane's just been handed the keys to a shiny new car called RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS OF POWER in addition to not being in her right mind. She's bound to stupid and horrible with it, just like Roxy, Dirk, and Jake have been at various points in the story.

It's important to remember that alpha kids' story isn't necessary one of achievement like the beta kids but it's still a story of maturing and they're all tripping through their failures to being better people.

I'm just glad everyone's been clearly given their time to be dumb idiot teenagers, now we can stop singling any of them out about it.

(Though I will admit Jane grossed me out pretty sufficiently, she's definitely much better at the despicable villianess shtick though I guess she's had help)
