^ It's actually a somewhat recent trend in some countries. As you might expect, it led to an increase in eye infections wherever it became popular.

Though as I understand it, it's the sensation of having your eye licked that people got into, not the act of licking the eye of another person as portrayed here. (Of course, in Terezi's case it makes sense.)

Funnily enough, the eye itself doesn't have any nerves to feel things. It's all the stuff around the eye in the optic nerve that feels stuff.

I've had my eyes licked before. The fact that it felt almost good kind of worries me.
