Yes, that's a bit different though isn't it? Since the narrative itself has them placed canonically in a relationship defined by them just being good friends, by being in the trollromantic version of life long inseperable platonic partners watching out for one another. Aside from Equius and Nepeta and occasional comments on Dirk and Roxy I never really see this kind of commentary that is common of male-male and female-female ships myself.

They are people in this fandom who would rather see no romantic hook-ups happen whether they hetero or homo--at least with the teenage players, and have everyone stay as just close friends. I've seen one of the reasons is that platonic relationships are usually seen in a very positive light while nearly all the red(and black) romantic relationships are viewed as negative. It probably has to do with any thing that was possibly good or developed in a couples' non-platonic, romantic relationship happened off-screen, while the audience is told why a couple didn't work out or is on-the-rocks(causing some fans to question why are they together in the first place).

Aradia/Tavros, Aradia/Sollux, Karkat/Kanaya, Jane/Dirk, and the human siblings obviously, are some M/F pairs I've seen "yay friendship" frequently stated about. I'd certainly support seeing more of these too, say things like Rose/Karkat, Sollux/Terezi, Kankri/Porrim.

There is entirely platonically friendly stuff to be found also even for many of the major pairings (Dave/Terezi, John/Vriska etc.) though you admittedly have to dig for it under all the shipping.

I thought Karkat and Dave are also placed canonically in a relationship defined by them just being good friends. Not that people can't ship them anyway, of course, but it's not like this is a canon homo romance that people are trying to split into "they're just friends." (Even then, as Tropylium mentions, that also happens for canon het romance.)

Appreciating friendships is not commentary on sexuality.

Tropylium's comment (and yours) really only shows the continued confusing of palerom and friendship either willingly or not.

Why would you ever call Nepeta and Equius "just friends"? ?? ?

Also yeah incest pairings are going to not be romantically shipped overall.

I've never once seen anyone comment on a Dave Jade friendly picture with "friendship is best ship" is all I'm saying.
