Kinda makes you realize how alone she must have really felt, never being able to actually meet another living being, waiting for the day her brother inevitably kills her, being almost powerless to try to stop him, trapped in her own skin as much as by her shackles.

Yes, but she also actively sought out friendship, so default or not, it doesn't really apply to her. Caliborn may have been busy trying to go it alone, but Calliope needs people.
