I wasn't either, but to be fair I watched Scooby Doo when I was really young and had little concept of what made characters well made or not. He was cute looking and I was ok with that.

Somehow, I feel like this would make Jack even more evil.

Kind of like breaking the damage limit, except in terms of evil.
