Did you ever see the movie Magic starring Anthony Hopkins? He plays a ventriloquist. His doll, "Fats," resembles him.

On screen, Hopkins' characters have endured or indeed done gruesome and scary things without flinching.

Behind the scenes however, Hopkins refused to share a room with the thing. Someone delivered the movie prop to his hotel room so he could practice with it, and by nightfall he called the director in panic, threatening to destroy the doll if someone didn't take it away.

That's right, Fats scared the living shit out of Hannibal Lecter.

My point is that Lil' Cal is a stark counterpoint to such a horror. The C-man is cool. So cool.

I could hang out with him all night and never get tired.
