Obviously they are created from fusions. Opal would seem like the obvious choice (Hope fills Void to create Space).

I would imagine Sugilite as Rage (easy choice based on the character-- also I would imagine if you were alone and had a lot of time you would go insane, so it's believable) Pearl and Garnet's fusion would be Light, and Ruby as Sapphire as Blood and Breath (Based on the color -- although that would mean Garnet would be a Life player and she isn't.)

Wouldn't Steven (and his mother) be a better fit as space players? His powers have a lot to do with birth and creation, not to mention he has a lot of the traditionally feminine aspects that serve as motifs around space, including nurturing and caring for others. Probably Steven as Heir of Space and Rose as Maid of Space.
