I dunno, there's several Paradox Space stories I like, particularly the one with Crowbar.

Yes, most of them are just silly. Not sure why you'd expect serious character development. It's just fun questionably-canon stuff from guest writers, not LotR appendices.

ha, ha, I've always wanted to see something like this but yeah, I pretty much agree with Zed.

obviously guest writers wouldn't get to Hussie level, but still it would be a little nice if they tried something more exciting as story and less aesthetic.

I'm just in it for the David McGuire and Zack Morrison.

I think it was also pointing out the fact that most of them happen on the meteor and feature Karkat and Dave. As much as I like Paradox Space, I would like to see a bit more variety to the stories.

Eh, by my count 7 out of 51 are on the meteor. Only two of them are about Karkat and Dave.

The meteor is really the only time in Homestuck during which they have this sort of downtime with humans and trolls together. Plus they get to go through dream bubbles for extra shenanigans. It makes sense for it to be a popular setting. Even then, it's not like it's overwhelming the other content.

I don't really see what the image is portraying. There's quite a lot more variety than that in Paradox space. As for character development...seriously? Hussie made it pretty clear that all of Paradox space is kinda sorta not canon. So why would anyone expect that exactly?

Also Dave and Karkat aren't THAT prevalent in the stories either. Just because the most recent also happens to be super long and featuring them doesn't show a trend or focus on them .

hmmmmm... still, I think I remembered something along the lines of "character spotlight" or "hidden dephts" or something like that. in OP's defense though, I think he's mostly portraying how something a little more meaningful didn't turn out out as smart as expected.

also, I've been re-reading Summerween Romance, and karkat DOES act pretty stupid when dave's around. I guess it depends a lot on the author, some prefer doing things a little more lighthearted. is it better? is it worse? I don't know.

the paradox space crew do not own the characters. only hussie does. thus, they can't develop them unless hussie allows them to. which is why many comics in pxs only worked on existing developments and barely grew them.

The second book is coming out soon. It's got two new stories, Hussie wrote a story about how vriska got equius to make her arm, so that will be a fun addition to cannon. He apparently also wrote another, but we don't know what it is. (i'm hoping the rest of crowbar)
