I love catching it late at night on Boomerang and sometimes seeing episodes I hadn't yet.

(which, as you can guess, gets rarer and rarer)

It got canceled because it was a work of art, and we can't be having that on our cartoon networks.

I think it was because they didn't know how to handle it since in some episodes they hinted into Jack becoming something more before he can ever truly go back to stop Aku (becoming a king of sorts in that episode where he fought a portal guardian, the epilogue of the spartan episode and so forth), which in retrospect maybe was too much. Each episode painted a fragment of the future Jack travels in, and barely any episode had him grow either internally or externally, and every time he was close to going home fate (the writers) intervened and said "nah, you're gonna keep wandering". And sadly the majority of the general audience was getting bored (I'm guilty of losing interest in it by the third season and wasn't able to catch up until it went to Boomerang), which could also be the reason why Sym-Bionic Titan also got cancelled.
