Idk why, but I always liked how latia's depiction of John is on the tall and chubby side. I mean granted the latter should probably be expected...considering what Dad was like...XD

my personal hc of john has always been taller and wide shouldered with more muscle - hed need it for swinging those huge hammers around

that's a fair point but his hammer swinging is primarily done when he's 13 and 16 years old so he wouldn't be able to be that big, really
plus homestuck works on ~fantasy~ so there's a bit of suspension of disbelief required there for you to not just think it's completely dumb

of course! i just always visualized john that way so really the hammer thing is just a bit of an excuse to justify it
