2 close-range fighters, 1 mid-range and 1 long-range.

Their set up is pretty good. And somewhat identical to the kids.

Trolls had like, 2 psychic midrange fighters, a crapload of close-range, eridan as long-range and Vriska as whatever her dice gave her.

A lance would be essentially semi-midrange I'd say. At least you could have some distance between you and your target.
