I actually found this to be the most distressing part of this whole distressing string of updates. Roxy obviously drank to self-medicate as most people with drinking issues do. She drank to combat loneliness and other reasons too I'm sure. But then she got her friends in her actual life and her need to drink disappeared, only to be told by one of those dear friends she liked her better when she was sick with a substance abuse problem... that's fucking tragic.

Agreed. It may be hypocritical of me, but I went from vicarious enjoyment of Jane getting that out of her system to feeling like she had gone way too far with that one line.

Even though Ive enjoyed act 6 for the most part, I can kind of sympathize in that post kanaya return to the core act 5.2, there wasnt much I liked, and I was ready to call it quits after cascade, but then intermission 2 happened and I was back to being a fan. Just give it some time anon, I doubt the gloomy shit will stay like that forever. surely there is something hinted at in the comic you're looking forward to in the future?

I hope so. I still love Homestuck but all the drama and people tearing apart and some fandom reaction to it all gets heavy on my chest at times.
