Upon seeing it once, Equius realizes he must possess this masterpiece no matter what the cost.
He collapses into despair when he realizes the price of the painting is far to high for him to afford.
He then launches a "Need for the Steed" campaign to raise funds. It mostly involves demanding money from his friends. Then apologizing. Then demanding that they command him to humbly request a donation.
