I actually saw a bunch of people who hate WV, they came out particularly around Cascade.

Though a lot of people don't like the exiles period so...

Karkat hate is rare but. I've seen that too.

Karkat is a precious child though.

Sometimes I have trouble empathizing with him and his relationship issues when he's the only troll that has never had to die or shed another one's blood for the alpha timeline, had a good lusus handpicked to raise him, and has all of his closest friends alive (there's Sollux, who is half-alive, but that is so far just a beneficial powerup for him) who will all probably get godtier, yet it seems like we're supposed to feel sorry for him the most out of all the trolls due to his constant lamenting. He's entertaining and funny enough otherwise though.

One could argue that him surviving is what wears on him the most, he's had to stand by and watch his very dear friends blow holes in each other, stab each other, all while knowing it was his job to keep this doomed trainwreck together and he failed. People who die get to go to the dream bubbles, Karkat has to stay and live with himself. He cares for all his friends, but yeah he had to deal with Kanaya and Eridan murdering each other, Gamzee going insane, Sollux lying on the floor a bloody mess, all while it being or feeling like it was his fault. He gave a universe cancer because he made mistakes, he's a child mutant who yeah had a good lusus but also had to live with the constant reality he could and, according to society, should be killed for his mutation. He messed up his love life, and has an inferiority complex the size of the green sun.

I'm sorry but I find someone unable to empathize with that on any level kind of astounding.
