I'd have loved to see Aradia and Sollux tag on for the meteor ride…

Making shitty comics, listening to ill beats, drawing dicks and having a hot alien babe draped over him.

Every day in the life of Dave Strider.

Now that the daveXterezi ship has sunk, im kinda wishing we had ended up with this, couldnt imagine much more fertile grounds for ironic and hilarious sitcom level mishaps with two time-players.

Anything could happen at this point, we could wind up with a canonized Dogs & Kats.

How many ships actually stay stable in HS?

The only ships that have shown any stability are the ones where characters died before they could break down somehow (Dad/Mom, Nep/Eq, Sol/Fef)

I do really like Jadekat, but I don't feel very positive about any ships chances when dancing with canon

Jadekat is my otp for both the characters and there is no way in hell I want Hussie touching it after recent events.

What's even the point of canon anymore? It means nothing, and anyone who says otherwise is fooling themselves (but you aren't fooling me)

All I'm saying is that in this
webcomic, things come out of the
blue, even with Hussie's 'hints'
Who knows? Not until the credits
roll.

Well it wouldn't be an out of the blue ship seeing as all the other patron troll pairings have been canon in some way shape or form. And there have been tons of hints.

I'm just saying this whole "set up the ships to knock em down" thing has worn so thin I don't even want my fifteen minutes of canon for my ships anymore. It's not worth it.

The problem with many of the couples in this comic is that the pair usually do the "will they or won't they" dance and song, and when they finally do get together, they are barely shown interacting as a couple. Case-in-point, many people were surprised at the revelation that Jade/Davesprite was a couple after they broke up, and some folks were confused at which quadrant Dave/Terezi occupied. Hell, with Dirk/Jake we haven't seen Jake have a conversation with a non-splintered!Dirk until the trickster incident.

I guess that's one of my bigger complaints about this comic. Why bother introducing romance when you are hardly going to show(or even developed as characters) them in a romantic relationship?

Well I suppose you could take it the other way and say it's nice of Hussie to include any romance and also realistic that romance plays a little and somewhat shaky part of a teenagers (particularly 13-15) life, but I agree. There's just not really much point to a canon relationship in this comic, you don't even get to see the wonkiness, save for the usually messy break up.

I'd rather just have my non-canon ships free of the drama that comes with canon. Shippers don't need your little teases Hussie, we'll go on with or without you.
