Okay. I just had a huge revelation and I have no IDEA where to put it.

The Choice Yaldabaoth offered Caliborn had the path of the conqueror, which is what Caliborn chose, and the path of the martyr.

Aranea said that "The player's sacrifice is assured to 8enefit all who will ever live." and is guaranteed to "later... help 8ring an end to a force of unfathoma8le evil and destruction... which was unleashed... 8y someone who once opted for the other choice."

The "someone" is Caliborn. The grown-up Calliope everyone is searching for played the game and chose the path of the martyr. And she will be found so she can kick her brother's ass.

I apologize for the spam but I had to get this out there. Has anyone else thought of this? Please tell me I'm not the only one.

(Also look at the pretty picture.)

Objectively I think you might be on the right track, but subjectively I hope that's not where the story goes. "Lady English" showing up to defeat Lord English and save the day would be so boring. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Hussie has already played the "look how ridiculously powerful I made this male villain, oops, the heroes can't beat him, the only way to check him is by promoting a female with the exact same powers but who is benevolent of course" card. That's not a card you play twice.

Yes. Either you play it once or three times in a row so it becomes so bad it is good. No other options.
